Loutraki, Greece -nestled in the historic heartland of ancient Greek civilization and sport, near the legendary city of Isthmia- will take center stage in European Mixed Martial Arts this spring, hosting a premier continental event from late April through early May.
The 3rd Gamma European Championships will take place from April 28 to May 3 at the Loutraki Indoor Municipal Sports Hall. The event is co-organized by the Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts (GAMMA) and the Hellenic MMA Federation, with the valued support of the Municipality of Loutraki–Perachora–Agioi Theodoroi.
Marking its debut in Greece, the championship will welcome 247 athletes from 17 European nations, competing across all age divisions. Participants will showcase their skills in the spirit of fair play and sportsmanship, in a discipline inspired by the ancient Greek sport of pankration. The competition will feature many of Europe’s leading MMA athletes, promising a week of high-level action and excitement.
In total, more than 350 accredited participants—including athletes, coaches, officials, referees, judges, and international federation representatives—are expected to attend, further elevating the event’s scale and significance.
The championship is also set to attract strong spectator interest, with Greek fans and international visitors anticipated to fill the stands and create a vibrant atmosphere of support throughout the competition.
Admission is free to the public, encouraging broad community participation, while the presence of local school students will add a dynamic and youthful energy to the event.
Participating countries include: Andorra, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Moldova, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, and Ukraine.
