On the occasion of Olympic Day 2026, to be celebrated worldwide on 23 June 2026, the Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts (GAMMA) proudly invites and encourages all GAMMA National Federations to organize meaningful local activities and community actions in their countries in celebration of the Olympic values of excellence, friendship, respect, peace, inclusion and human development through sport.
Olympic Day is far more than a symbolic date on the sporting calendar. It is a global reminder that sport has the power to unite people beyond borders, cultures, languages and differences. It is a day that invites every sporting community to promote not only performance, but also participation, education, solidarity, wellbeing and social responsibility.
As part of the new era of GAMMA, we strongly believe that Mixed Martial Arts can and must contribute to this global message. Through our athletes, coaches, referees, officials, clubs, federations and local communities, MMA can become a powerful vehicle for promoting the true spirit of sport: discipline, respect, personal growth, inclusion, resilience and peace.
For this reason, GAMMA warmly calls on all its National Federation Members to organize inspired and visible Olympic Day activities in their countries under the GAMMA identity. These activities may include community gatherings, open MMA training sessions, youth workshops, Olympic values talks, school or club visits, symbolic group actions, inclusion initiatives, or any creative local activation that reflects the Olympic spirit and the positive role of MMA in society.
As previously proposed by GAMMA, Federations are encouraged to build their Olympic Day activity around a simple and meaningful format, such as:
a short Olympic Values Gathering with athletes, coaches and young participants
a symbolic One Minute for Peace, Respect and Unity
a light MMA or movement session focused on participation, inclusion and togetherness
an Olympic Promise Wall where participants write one value or message inspired by sport
a final GAMMA Olympic Day group photo or short video message representing their national MMA community
We kindly ask all National Federations to photograph and video their Olympic Day activities with quality and visibility, following the spirit of this initiative, and to send their materials to GAMMA after the event. The submitted photos and videos will be used by GAMMA to showcase the collective global celebration of Olympic Day across our international family and to highlight the positive role of Mixed Martial Arts within the worldwide sport movement.

Selected materials will be promoted through:
- the official GAMMA website
- GAMMA social media platforms
- GAMMA international communication channels
- and, where possible, through the wider international sport network and institutional partners connected to the global sport ecosystem, including relevant visibility opportunities across organizations and stakeholders such as IOC-related sport communities, SportAccord, AISTS, ITA, and other international partners.
This is an opportunity for every GAMMA Federation not only to celebrate Olympic Day, but also to demonstrate how MMA can stand proudly for values that go beyond competition — values that build better athletes, better people and better communities.
We encourage all our members to embrace this initiative with creativity, pride and responsibility, and to make Olympic Day 2026 a visible and inspiring GAMMA celebration across all continents.
