Strict Modifications for Athlete Safety
Prohibited Techniques
- • No Head Strikes: Punches or kicks to the head are illegal in standing and ground.
- • No Up-Kicks: Kicking from ground to standing opponent is banned.
- • No Neck-Only Takedowns: Both arms around neck only is illegal.
- • No Knee Reaping or twisting leg locks.
- • No Guillotine (Standing). Only allowed if finished on ground.
Additional Restrictions
- • U14 & U16: No lower body submissions allowed.
- • U10 & U12: No Omoplata, no scissor takedowns, no jumping guard.
- • Rashguards Mandatory: For all U18 competitors.
- • Immediate Stoppage: Referee must stop bout immediately if there is visible bleeding.

- Biting or Spitting
- Hair pulling
- Strikes to spine or back of head
- Throat strikes or trachea grabbing
- Groin attacks
- Knee to head (Standing or Grounded)
- Small joint manipulation (< 3 fingers)
- Spiking opponent on head/neck
